All-new Range Rover flagship SUV revealed, coming to India

Jaguar Land Rover has introduced the all-new Range Rover in the international market. The flagship SUV comes with a new exterior design and styling. But the brand carry-forwards the timeless design cues of the Range Rover brand even in the new generation. The new Range Rover also features the latest technology and sets new benchmarks in the luxury SUV segment. The Land Rover Range Rover comes with the latest interior features, modernity and peerless refinement. Also, true to its nature is Range Rover’s capability acquainted by over 50 years of evolution. 

New Range Rover

The brand also revealed that the Range Rover would also come in the ‘SV’ variant handcrafted by Special Vehicle Operations. Also, the new Range Rover comes with the new MLA-Flex body architecture. Thanks to this the SUV will come with Standard and Long Wheelbase body styles. In addition to this, the new Range Rover features four, five or seven-seat interiors along with a range of electrified powertrain options. Embracing Land Rover’s new Reimagine strategy, the brand will also introduce the battery-electric Range Rover, which will make its debut in 2024. 

New Range Rover – Design and Features

The new Range Rover comes with an imposing front fascia that features a unique design on the grille. The brand is offering a clamshell bonnet with RANGE ROVER letting on the bonnet lip. Sleek headlamps with high-definition Digital LED Headlight technology flank the new grille. The Adaptive Front Lighting is capable of shadowing up to 16 objects in New Range Rover’s path. The headlamps offer a beam range of up to 500m and come with Predictive Dynamic Bending Light, ensuring other road users are not dazzled.

The SUV comes with flush door handles that pop out automatically, and the car features power-assisted doors and a soft close system. The new Range Rover comes with an impressive glasshouse and a progressive roofline. The rear of the Range Rover is especially futuristic and features vertical taillamps that stay hidden until lit. 

New Range Rover – Interior Details

On the inside, the new Range Rover comes with a new 13.1-inch curved, floating touchscreen. The infotainment system features the latest generation award-winning Pivi Pro infotainment technology. The SUV also gets a new semi-floating 13.7-inch Interactive Driver Display. The central display will provide haptic feedback for touch and press. The rear-seat passengers also get new adjustable 11.4-inch HD Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system. The brand has mounted the screens on the front seatbacks, and users can individually operate the systems. In addition to this, rear seat users also get an 8-inch Rear Seat Touchscreen Controller mounted in the centre armrest of Executive Class Rear Seats. 

New Range Rover – Powertrain

The new Range Rover will come with a choice of new Extended Range Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine. The P440e and P510e come with a PHEV powertrain, while the P360 and P400 Ingenium petrol come with the latest mild-hybrid (MHEV) technology. The brand also offers the D250, D300 and D350 diesel engines on the new Range Rover. Along with this, the flagship model will also come with a 4.4-litre P530 Twin Turbo V8. 

New Range Rover – India Launch

The brand is currently retailing the Range Rover in the UK with a price tag of GBP 94,400 MSRP. The brand has already opened the order books in the UK. Owing to its popularity in the luxury car segment in the Indian market, the brand will also be launching the SUV in India soon. The brand has not officially revealed the dates but expects the new Range Rover to arrive in India in the first half of 2022.
