Honda has unveiled the 2023 Elevate SUV. This SUV also marks 6 years since the Japanese car maker launched an all-new car in the Indian market. Interested customers will be able to book this new SUV from July while the launch is scheduled for the Indian festive season later in the year.
2023 Honda Elevate : Exterior Design
From the front, we can see that the Honda Elevate comes with a prominent grille. We can also note the traditional boxy styling of the SUV. However, Honda has worked to make it look like a crossover with a few design elements. The 2023 Honda Elevate also gets sleek all-LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and turn signals.
Honda has also equipped the SUV with body cladding all-around. This adds to the muscular appeal of the car. The roof is also straight and the front and rear windshields are steeply raked.
Towards the rear, the hatch gets an SUV design. Honda Elevate gets connected tail lamps. There are LED lights included as well. The SUV rides on dual-tone black and silver alloy wheels.
2023 Honda Elevate : Interiors
On the inside, the Elevate gets a revamped interior. Unlike other cars like the Honda City or the Jazz, the Japanese car maker has opted for a more upmarket design. There is a dual tone dashboard finished in brown and black finished with leather upholstery as well.
Owners will also get features like a sunroof, large 10.25-inch touchscreen system (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and more. We can also expect this new Honda SUV to get wireless charging pad and ventilated front seats.
Powertrain of the 2023 Honda Elevate
This new SUV is powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Honda City. This motor develops 121 PS and 145 Nm. Customers will be able to choose from a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
There is no diesel engine on offer. Honda could also offer the City’s hybrid powertrain based on demand at a later stage. Honda has also said that there will be an all-electric SUV based on the Elevate in the next 3 years.
Safety features of the 2023 Honda Elevate
Honda has equipped the 2023 Honda Elevate with 6 airbags, ESC, hill hold, hill descent (AT only) and ISO-FIX child seat mounts. 202 Honda Elevate will also come with radar based ADAS suite. This includes automatic emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, lane assist and high-beam assist amongst others.
The Honda Elevate will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Kia Seltos and more in the Indian market.
