Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has reported its Calendar Year 2022 sales report. The carmaker recorded its highest-ever domestic sales since its inception. The figure stood at 5,52,511 units for the given period with year-over-year growth of 9.4 per cent.
Hyundai Pushing Hard To Redefine Customer Experience
Hyundai talked of its relentless pursuit to redefine the customer experience. Furthermore, a strong product portfolio helped align consumer trends. HMIL recorded its highest-ever domestic sales of 5,52,511 units in the Calendar Year 2022. Even with the strong headwinds in the last few years, Hyundai ave continues to challenge existing boundaries and establish new Industry benchmarks. Interestingly enough SUVs now contribute to more than 50 per cent of Hyundai’s overall volumes. The top seller is the model Creta. In fact, it also registered its highest-ever annual sales volume. The figure stood at 1,40,895 units in Calendar Year 22 which is the highest since its introduction in 2015.
SUVs Taking Leading The Show For Hyundai India
With the rising demand for SUVs in the market, Hyundai has further strengthened its SUV line-up. The carmaker added three new trend-setting SUVs. As Hyundai calls it, the first is the “all-new Hyundai VENUE”. Then we have the “all-new Hyundai TUCSON”. And lastly the much-hyped “Hyundai VENUE N Line”. All three products aim to spearhead transformation in the Indian automotive industry. Hyundai also tanked its beloved customers for their love and trust in the brand. Going forward, the carmaker also promised to continue delivering new-age products. The key focus is now on Intelligent Technology, Innovation and Sustainability.
Upcoming Creta In The Making
With the current trend, we are expecting more SUVs from Hyundai India. And the most talked about product is the updated Creta. This is the mid-life update of the Creta that we have already seen in a few international markets. The updated styling looks similar to what we see with the new Tucson. The most highlighting addition could be the ADAS tech, which is expected to make its way with the upcoming Creta.
