Hyundai Creta facelift : More details

Back in 2021, Hyundai had unveiled the Creta facelift at the GIIAS in Indonesia. First of all, the car gets a Tucson-inspired font fascia. The Parametric Jewel grill is the highlight of the new model. It comes equipped with daytime running lights. The main headlamps have hence moved lower down in the bumpers. At the back, the new Creta gets a revised tailgate and L-shaped LED tail lamps.

On the inside, the car retains the dual-tone dashboard design. The Creta comes with a touchscreen infotainment system as well. Steering wheel gets a quad-spoke design with paddle shifters while the driver information display consists of a 10.25-inch all-digital cluster.

The key features covered under ADAS could include lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation, driver attention monitoring, rear cross-traffic assistance and adaptive cruise control. This could be a key differentiator in the popular segment and such features add more value to the consumer. Hence, it is likely that buyers would prefer the Creta over rivals due to the ADAS features.

Hyundai Creta : Powertrain

There are no changes expected with the engine and transmission offerings. The Creta will continue to come equipped with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre NA petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel.

The 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine produces 115 PS of power at 6,300 rpm and 143.8 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is available with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and an intelligent variable transmission (IVT).

The other petrol engine is the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. The engine makes 140 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 242 Nm of torque from 1,500 to 3,200 rpm.

The turbo-petrol engine is only available with a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).
