Piaggio has launched the new Aprilia SXR 125 in the Indian market priced at INR 1.16 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Compared to its elder sibling, the SXR 160, the new one-eighth-litre maxi-scooter, is INR 9,000 more affordable. The Aprilia SXR 125 will be available through both physical dealerships and the company’s e-commerce website. The SXR 125 is available in four colour options – Glossy White, Glossy Red, Matt Black, Matt Blue.
Aprilia SXR 125 Engine Specifications
Powering the Aprilia SXR 125 is a 124.45cc single-cylinder engine that makes 9.52 PS of power and 9.2 Nm of torque. The BS6 emission compliant air-cooled comes with a three-valve SOHC distribution system and an electronic fuel injection system. The Aprilia SXR 125 comes with a CVT automatic gearbox, ideal for urban commutes in stop & go traffic.
How big is the Aprilia SXR 125?
The maxi-scooter measures 1963mm in length, 803mm in width, and a wheelbase of 1361mm. The size of the scooter enables bold looks along with easy rideability in the urban environment. The Aprilia SXR 125 is also practical offering a sizeable seat as well as ample under-seat storage. The scooter also features a small glove box on the front panel along with a USB charging point. The Aprilia SXR 125 also comes with a 7-litre fuel tank.

The Aprilia SXR 125 comes with the company’s latest global design language with bespoke styling and finish. The Aprilia SXR 125 comes with three-part LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED turn indicators and combination LED taillights. The scooter comes with a large front apron and tall windscreen and signature Aprilia graphics on the side fairings.
The SXR 125 rides on 12-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels shod in 120/70 tubeless tyres. The scooter also gets a fully digital instruments cluster with Bluetooth mobile connectivity option. The scooter also comes with a hydraulic double telescopic front suspension and a hydraulic shock absorber on the rear. Braking duties are handled by, 220mm hydraulic disc brake with Combi Braking System (CBS) on the front and also a 140mm mechanical drum brake on the rear.
