Jaguar Land Rover is readying itself for the launch of its all-electric Jaguar I-Pace in the India market. To cater to all the I-Pace customers, the brand is improving its front in e-mobility infrastructure. The brand mentioned that 22 retail outlets across 19 cities in India are EV ready. All the 22 retail outlets get more than 35 chargers across sales and after-sales facilities. The brand is also providing all the necessary training and courses to its personnel to make them competent enough to answer all the queries of the customers related to electric vehicles.
Jaguar I-Pace
The launch of the Jaguar I-Pace is set for 23rd March 2021. Jaguar I-Pace gets a 90kWh battery which sends power to two electric motors that make 400 HP of power and 696 Nm of torque. The SUV is capable of doing a 0 to 100 kmph sprint in under 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 200 kmph making it a really fast car. The WLTP rated range was 470 km, tough ARAI is yet to certify this electric car. Jaguar is also offering customers a 5-year complimentary service package and 5-year road assistance which adds to the peace of mind. To remove all the apprehensions related to electric vehicles, the equipped battery comes with an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty.
Variants and Price Details
The SUV will come in three variants namely, S, SE and fully load top-spec HSE. In the top-spec, some of the exclusive features include, an adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights, a hands-free boot release, a heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats, an 825W Meridian Sound System with a 16-speaker setup and more. Customers will also have optional kits to choose from which includes an adaptive air suspension, four-zone climate control, an ionising air purifier with PM2.5 filtration and a digital rear-view mirror to name a few. The only competition in the market is the Mercedes-Benz EQC electric SUV and the upcoming Audi e-tron will further increase the competition in the luxury electric car segment. The I-Pace will have a price tag similar to that of the Mercedes-Benz EQC electric SUV which retails at 99.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
