Written by Kanad Kalasur

Royal Enfield has lined-up a bunch of new motorcycles over the coming days. These are from the new 650cc platform, which has spawn bikes like the Interceptor and Continental 650 twins. Now, the first test mule of what appears to be the Classic 650 has been spotted.

2024 Royal Enfield Classic 650 : More Details

The Classic has been the all-time best seller of the Royal Enfield. Now, in the 650cc avatar, the bike looks very similar to the styling of the Classic 350. Key design elements like the headlight hidden inside the nacelle, wire spoke wheels and healthy dose of chrome have been retained. However the Classic 650 comes with a LED headlight compared to the halogen unit of the Classic 350. This unit is likely to be the same shared with the other 650cc models.

Overall, the test bike looks quite good. Despite being a testing unit, it has the classic appeal of the typical Royal Enfield. Given its simplistic approach, the Classic 650 too, could have simpler mechanics than the other bikes in the RE stable.

In terms of hardware, the Classic 650 comes with telescopic front forks and a twin rear shock absorber setup. The front forks get stanchions.

Powertrain of the Royal Enfield Classic 650

In terms of numbers, the engine is likely to develop power and torque in the similar range of the other 650cc bikes. This means, we can expect 47 HP and 52 Nm or near about.
