Mahindra has launched the all-new Thar Roxx in the Indian market with a starting price of just INR 12.99 lakh ex-showroom. The Thar Roxx even in its base avatar comes with plenty of comfort, convenience and safety features. The brand also revealed that the Thar Roxx will come with both petrol and diesel powertrain options.
Petrol & Diesel Variant Price
While Mahindra has not fully revealed the details of the Thar Roxx, the brand however, announced that the 5-door SUV will come with MX petrol manual variant with a price starting INR 12.99 lakh and MX diesel manual with a price tag of INR 13.99 lakh ex-showroom. The complete details of the new Thar Roxx will be revealed tomorrow, the 15th August 2024 on the Indian Independence Day.
Exterior & Interior Features
In addition to the tasty price tags of both the petrol and diesel base variants the brand also revealed that the base variant will not be basic. In addition to this, the brand also revealed that the Thar Roxx even in its base avatar will come with exterior features such as a dual tone metal top, LED projector headlamps, LED taillamps and 18 Inch steel wheels. The feature list is not limited to the exteriors of the Thar Roxx, but even on the base model the Thar Roxx comes with interior features such as 26.03-cm touchscreen infotainment system, 60:40 splitting rear seats, rear AC vents and Type-C USB charging outlet.
Mechanical & Safety Features
Also, the Thar Roxx in the MX1 rear wheel drive avatar will come with electric power steering, 3 point seatbelts for all passengers, height adjustable driver’s seat and pentalink suspension. The base variant also comes with 6-airbags, electronic stability control, brake locking differential and premium embossed fabric upholstery.
Powertrain
Powering the Thar Roxx will be a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces 158 BHP of power and 330 Nm of torque. In addition to this, the Thar Roxx also comes with an mHawk 2.2-litre turbo-diesel motor that produces 148 BHP of power and 330 Nm of torque. In its base avatar, the Thar Roxx comes with a 5-speed manual transmission on both the petrol and diesel engine options.
