2023 MG Hector could get new alloy wheels

As per recent sales reports, MG Motor is reporting a generous sales figure. The carmaker seems to know exactly what is working for the Indian market. In addition to this, the carmaker is also constantly providing updates to its lineup. This will make the products relevant and stay in the competition for a long.

We saw MG bring in the updated Hector 2023 model earlier this year. With this update, the SUV came with a host of updates on the outside as well as on the inside. Interestingly enough the alloy wheel design was not changed. Now as per recent spy shots, we assume finally the 2023 MG Hector will get new alloys. The spy shots suggest that the 2023 Hector with new alloys has arrived at the dealership yards.

Price Range Of 2023 MG Hector

MG launched the 2023 Hector at the Auto Expo in January this year. It retailed with a price tag of INR 14.73 lakh to INR 22.43 lakh, ex-sh. The carmaker has also updated the engine to comply with the BS6 phase 2 emission norms. This made the price tag increase by up to INR 60,000 for Hector’s range of SUVs.

The Story Of Hector In The Indian Market

Hector was first introduced in the market in July 2019. Then in February 2021, it got its first facelift update. In this, we saw the SUV get some subtle cosmetic updates and some feature upgrades as well.

But this time around, MG worked more on updating the SUV’s equipment as well as visual updates. For the exteriors, the SUV now gets a large new front grill, connected LED tail lamps, and revised bumpers. On the inside, the key talking about is the largest in the segment, a 14-inch touchscreen. The SUV also gets ADAS-enabled features, which currently is a trend in the automotive world.

2023 MG Hector Key Highlights

The 2023 MG Hector is available in two engine options. First is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit and the second is a 2.0-litre diesel mill. The petrol unit makes 141 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the diesel unit makes 168 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque. Both engine options are available with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard as well as CVT automatic gearbox. But, the CVT is only available with the petrol unit.
