2023 Maruti Suzuki Fronx – Safety Features

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Fronx, a crossover based on the Baleno. It is none other than the YTB crossover. The crossover Fronx has been designed and developed keeping in mind the requirement of the Indian audience and road conditions. Through product clinics, Maruti Suzuki has identified two sets of buyers, one young and experimental while the other is a thoughtful and purposeful lifestyle buyer. While we saw the design and other highlights of the car earlier, let us take a deep dive on the safety features that the car offers.

Standard safety features on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx

Maruti is offering quite a lot of safety features as standard. These include Suzuki TECT body, Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFix Child seat anchors, Seatbelt pretensioners with force limiters,pedestrian protection compliance and a full frontal, offset and side impact compliance amongst others. Hill hold assist is also standard across the range.

Apart from these, the company also offers 3-point seatbelts for all occupants, rear parking sensors and a day/night rear mirror on all the models. Electronic stability program is also standard across the range.

Variant-wise safety features on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Delta model onwards gets the security system as standard. The Xeta model comes with a rear view camera while the Alfa variant gets additional 360-degree camera and a head-up display as standard.

Powertrain details of the Maruti Suzuki Fronz

Maruti has offered a choice of two engines on the Fronx. The first is a K-Series 1.2-litre DualJet, Dual VVT naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 89.73 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is offered with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The second engine is the K-Series 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine. The engine produces 100.06 PS of power and 147.6 Nm of torque.
