2023 Honda HR-V revealed, longer & wider than before

Honda USA has introduced the 2023 Honda HR-V, which is the second-generation HR-V. Honda reveals that the second-generation HR-V is a low horizontal beltline, a longer hood, a larger grille, a wider stance and a sleek roofline. For 2023, the brand has opted for a clean, sporty and expressive design language. The new HR-V draws inspiration from the award-winning 11th generation Honda Civic.

2023 Honda HR-V – Size

The 2023 Honda HR-V is larger than the predecessor and comes with a longer wheelbase as well as a wider stance. However, the brand boasts that even though the car is larger than its predecessor, it still remains sporty and personal. Honda also asserts that the HR-V is the appropriate size for the city. The SUV claims to be nimble and manoeuvrable in the urban jungle while offering space and utility for an adventurous weekend escape. The brand has not yet revealed the dimensions of the new Honda HR-V. But the brand has promised to release more information over the coming months.

2023 Honda HR-V – Design and Features

The Honda HR-V comes with a low horizontal beltline and an extended bonnet. The SUV still features the wide haunch forming a sense of flow in the design. The new HR-V also comes with wide-set headlamps and taillamps, offering an athletic stance. The SUV comes with a functional tailgate spoiler improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the car and also its sporty proportions. The car also comes with door-mounted mirrors and a large greenhouse, along with the windshield wipers hiding under the hood line when not in use. 

2023 Honda HR-V – Powertrain 

The brand has not yet revealed the details of the HR-V powertrain. However, speculations are that Honda may not use the 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 141 Hp of power. However, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine produces 158 Hp of power, and optionally Honda could use the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine making 180 Hp of power on the SUV. 

Honda USA has announced that the model will launch this summer in North America.
