Classic Legends is all about reviving nostalgic brands in the Indian market. The subsidiary of Mahindra revived the Jawa brand in the past and has now brought back the Yezdi brand. Under the Yezdi brand, Classic Legends is launching three products. These sit across the Adventure, Scrambler and Roadster category and offer customers various options across segments. The Roadster competes directly with the well-established Royal Enfield brand in the Indian market, which remained unchallenged for quite some time.
Yezdi Roadster – Price and Colours
The Yezdi Roadster comes with a starting price of INR 1,98,142 ex-showroom. The brand offers the motorcycle in a dual-trim concept – Dark and Chrome. The Roadster Dark with Smoke Grey colour comes with a price tag of INR 1,98,142 ex-showroom. At the same time, the Steel Blue and Hunter Green colour options come with a price tag of INR 2,02,142 ex-showroom. The Roadster Chrome with the Gallant Grey and Sin Silver colour options comes with a sticker price of INR 2,06,142 ex-showroom.
Yezdi Roadster – Design and Features
The Yezdi Roadster comes with an easy rider design language and will attract cruiser fanboys in the Indian market. The Roadster features a chopped fender on the front and a peanut-shaped fuel tank. The bike also comes with rounded LED headlamps and LED taillamps. The brand offers a rounded full-digital instruments cluster, wide handlebars and bar-end mirrors. The motorcycle also comes with a flyscreen and fork boots for added protection. The Roadster comes with a full rear fender that slopes off in the end and integrates well with the scooped seats. The bike also features a peashooter style twin-sided exhaust.
Yezdi Roadster – Technical Specifications
Powering the Yezdi Roadster is a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The engine produces 29.7 PS of power and 29 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on a double-cradle chassis with telescopic forks offering 135mm of travel. The rear-end gets twin shock absorbers with 100mm of travel. The bike comes with a ground clearance of 175mm and an accessible seat height of 790mm. The Roadster tips the scales at 184 kgs and comes with a 12.5-litre fuel tank. The brand offers 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The bike also gets 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod in 100/90 front and 130/80 rear tubeless road-biased tyres.
