2022 TVS One-Make Championship for Women & Rookie category in Bengaluru

The factory racing team of TVS Motor Company, TVS Racing, has invited aspiring racers to join its 2022 TVS One-Make Championship. This event will comprise of the Women and Rookie categories, where aspiring racers will participate in a full-day training school. Under the supervision of TVS Racing’s national champions, the training school will ensure that riders familiarise themselves with racing motorcycles. TVS Racing stated that it would host the selection rounds for the event in Bengaluru on March 20th, 2022.

Event & Registration Details 

The riders aspiring to participate in the women’s category will test their abilities on race-spec Apache RTR 200 4Vs. Meanwhile, the Rookie Category is an indispensable platform to nurture and prepare young motorsport talent for events in India. TVS Racing states that young riders aged between 11 and 18 years will ride the Apache RR 200 on track. TVS Racing will select the top twenty riders from each category and city based on four important parameters.

These include their best lap timings, physical fitness, and racing abilities, after which the team will move to Chennai. The final round of selection will take place at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in May 2022. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru selection round will occur at Aruani Grid in Vemana Road, where interested candidates can register themselves. The selected racers will compete in five rounds for the championship using race-tuned Apache RTR 200 4V’s and Apache RR 200s.

Selection Criteria & Requirements 

TVS Racing states that interested participants can register themselves by contacting the number- +919632253833 whilst bringing mandatory documents and safety equipment. The documents include a valid two-wheeler driving licence and a Level-1, FMSCI-certified training certificate from a racing training school. Participants also require a Full-face helmet with a visor and a Double-D ring strap with DOT and ECE certification.

Finally, the entry fees for the Women and Rookie Categories are INR 1,500 and INR 1,600, respectively. The trainers in question fr the upcoming event include renowned racers Harry Sylvester, Jagan Kumar, KY Ahamed, and Aishwarya Pissay. TVS Racing also mentions the fact that participants must report to the venue by 8 am on March 20th.
