2022 MG Gloster SUV launched in India at INR 31.99 lakh

MG Motor India has announced the launch of the new ‘Advanced Gloster’ in the Indian market. The Gloster was India’s first Level 1 autonomous premium SUV, and now MG has equipped with a bunch of new styling, advanced safety and technology enhancements. In addition to this, the existing ADAS will get even more features. These new ADAS features will be first-in-segment. 

2022 MG Gloster – Variants, Pricing & Colour Options

The 2022 MG Gloster will be available in a total of 3 variants – SUPER, SHARP & SAVVY. All the variants of the 2022 Gloster come in a 7-seater configuration. Additionally, the top-end SAVVY variant is also available in a 6-seater configuration. There will be one engine option available with either 4×2 or 4×4. However, the 4×4 is only available with the SAVVY variants.

Pricing for the 2022 Gloster starts at INR 31,99,800 ex-showroom for the SUPER variant with the diesel engine and 4×2. On the other hand, the range tops out at INR 40,77,800 ex-showroom for the SAVVY Diesel 4×4 in the 6-seater configuration. The detailed pricing for the 2022 MG Gloster is –

For the 2022 Gloster, MG has also introduced a new ‘Deep Golden’ colour option. Including this, the 2022 MG Gloster is available in a total of 4 colour options. These are – the new Deep Golden, Metal Black, Metal Ash and Warm White.

2022 MG Gloster – What’s New?

Though there are a few exterior updates, MG has given it a host of updates in terms of technology and safety features. On the outside, the 2022 MG Gloster gets new 19-inch British Windmill Turbine wheels on the 4WD variants. Meanwhile, the 2WD variants get a new rear bumper design. Additionally, there’s also the new Deep Golden colour option. 

As for technology, MG has updated its i-Smart, and it now comes with more than 75 Connected Car Features. Some of the new features include – audio, AC and Mood light in car remote control via the i-Smart app, birthday wish on the head unit, Park+ head unit app, Hinglish voice commands, customisable lock screen wallpaper, live weather and AQI information on the navigation screen and much more.

When it comes to safety features, the introduction of the SAVVY variant in the 2WD variant means one does not need to opt for 4WD to get ADAS features. The ADAS in the 2022 Gloster also gets new segment-first features. These are – Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Lane Change Assist (LCA). These three new features are in addition to the existing 30 standard safety features of the Gloster.
