Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new Alto K10 hatchback in India at INR 3.99 lakh ex-showroom. The brand aims to re-energize the small hatchback segment in India with the 2022 Alto K10. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 gets a host of new comfort, convenience and safety features and a new engine option. Furthermore, the 5-speed AMT is back after the brand discontinued it during the BS6 transition.
Interested customers can book the all-new Alto K10 by paying an initial amount of INR 11,000. Customers can book the all-new Alto K10 by visiting any of the Maruti Suzuki ARENA dealerships. Alternatively, they can also use Maruti Suzuki’s official website to book the car.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 – Variants, Pricing & Colour Options
Maruti Suzuki will offer the 2022 Alto K10 in a total of 6 variants. These will consist of 4 manual and 2 automatic variants. The 2022 Alto K10’s manual variants are – STD, LXi, VXi, and VXi+. On the other hand, the AMT will be available in 4 variants – VXi and VXi+.
Pricing starts at INR 3.99 lakh ex-showroom for the base STD variant and tops out at INR 5,83,500 ex-showroom for the VXi+ AGS. Here is the detailed pricing for the 2022 Alto K10 –

The 2022 Alto K10 will be available in a total of 6 colour options. These are – Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue and Earth Gold. Maruti Suzuki also offers two personalization packages with the 2022 Alto K10 – Impacto & Glinto.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 – What’s New?
The all-new Alto K10 now uses the 5th generation HEARTECT platform, which underpins several other models from Maruti Suzuki. The exterior of the 2022 Alto K10 gets an all-new design. Furthermore, the small hatchback is also larger than ever. This is a direct result of the HEARTECT platform. At the front, it gets a new fascia with peppy headlights and a larger grille with a honeycomb pattern. Maruti Suzuki also says it sculpted the sides and rear profile of the 2022 Alto K10 to have a modern appeal. At the same time, it gets new 13-inch wheels with full-size covers and new rear combination lamps.
As for the interior, the all-new Alto K10 gets a new design for the dashboard, a new digital instrument cluster and new upholstery. Higher variants of the 2022 Alto K10 also get a 7-inch SmarPlay studio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. It also supports other SmartPlay Studio apps. The 2022 Alto K10 also boasts of segment-first 4-speaker system.
Other feature highlights include front power windows, remote keyless entry, and steering-mounted controls. As for safety features, it gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed-sensing auto door lock, high-speed alert and more.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 – Powertrain
The new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 uses the next-gen K-series 1.0-litre DualJet Dual VVT petrol engine. This motor makes a peak power of 67 HP at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 89 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Furthermore, the company will offer the 2022 Alto K10 with two transmission options. These are – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission, or AMT. The same engine also does duty in the recently introduced 2022 S-Presso. The brand also claims the 2022 Alto K10 offers fuel efficiency of 24.9 kmpl for the AGS variant. On the other hand, the claimed fuel efficiency for the manual variant is 24.39 kmpl.
