Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has announced the launch of its new Neo-Sports Café motorcycle, the CB300R for the Indian market. Unveiled at the 2021 India Bike Week, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has equipped a BS6-compliant engine for the CB300R. HMSI has priced the new CB300R at INR 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and also opened bookings for interested customers. Honda will showcase and sell the new bike to new customers via their premium BigWing & BigWing Topline dealerships across India.
As a Neo-Sports Café motorcycle, the CB300R showcases its Japanese craftsmanship via its style and overall performance. Honda has designed the bike in a manner that offers a retro look but with a modern twist. At the front, the new CB300R sports an LED headlamp, golden front forks, wide handlebars, and black-plastic elements.
Additionally, the bike sports a chiseled fuel tank, black alloy wheels, and a newly designed muffler with a copper finish. Honda will offer the new CB300 in 2 colors- Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black along with an upswept exhaust. Other details of the bike include the supportive seat for the rider and pillion, an LED taillight, and turn indicators.
Powering the new CB300R is a 286cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine that develops 30.7 PS and 27.5 Nm. Honda has ensured to pair the motor to a 6-speed manual transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch. The CB300R utilizes a Diamond type frame with a seat height of 801mm and 157mm of ground clearance. Along with a 9.7-liter fuel tank, the bike sports 41mm, inverted front forks, and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock.
With 17-inch wheels on both ends, the bike sports a single 296mm front brake disc and a 220mm rear brake disc. Honda has also equipped the CB300R with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Dual Channel ABS for improved braking performance. Additionally, the bike sports an Assist and Slipper Clutch and an LCD Multi-Function display with a Gear Position Indicator. The bike’s instrument panel also includes a Side Stand Indicator with an Engine Inhibitor and a fully-digitalized liquid crystal meter.
