There’s some good news for the ones looking to get a BMW Motorrad Product. A few days ago, BMW Motorrad India had released a teaser of the G 310 R. And now the wait is finally over, BMW Motorrad India has opened its bookings for the 2022 G 310 R and G 310 GS. Both these products were unveiled in July this year in the international market.

Both the motorcycles now get new colour options. However, there are no changes in terms of mechanicals. The G 310 R is available with two colour shades, Kyanite Blue Metallic with Red Wheels and Cosmic Black Two colour theme. Meanwhile, the G 310 GS gets a new Triple Black shade. Also, both the G 310 GS and G 310 R share their engine with the TVS Apache 310 under the new TVS-BMW partnership.

Mechanicals And Hardware

As we mentioned before, there are no hardware upgrades, and the motorcycles continue with the 313cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine. This engine makes 34 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The engine was upgraded to be compliant with the stringent BS-6 emission norms. And the motorcycle maker has also confirmed that the BS-6 update has made the engine much more refined.

Another change with respect to the BS-6 engine is the addition of a self-reinforcing slipper/assist clutch. This makes the 6-speed gearbox unit much smoother and also aids in aggressive downshifts. The suspension setup consists of USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The braking setup comprises a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, thus providing adequate braking force to ensure the rider’s safety.

Price Details

Recently, BMW had hiked the price of both motorcycles by INR 10,000. And now, the G 310 R has a sticker price of INR 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the G 310 GS retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 3.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
