2021 Yamaha FZ-X launched in India at INR 1,16,800

India Yamaha Motor has launched the new FZ-X motorcycle in the Indian market at INR 1,16,800 ex-showroom, Delhi. The new bike will enhance the FZ series, which is quite popular in the Indian market. The Yamaha FZ-X comes with a neo-retro-scrambler design which will also compete with the now booming modern-classic segment. The Yamaha FZ-X is also available with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect, priced at INR 1,19,800 ex-showroom, Delhi. 

2021 Yamaha FZ-X – Design Highlights

The Yamaha FZ-X features rounded headlamps with a projector setup, a boxy fuel tank design, a bench seat and a rectangular pod-style instruments cluster. The motorcycle also gets alloy wheels shod in wide patch tubeless dual-sport tyres. The bike also features chopped front and rear fenders. The Yamaha FZ-X also gets an engine skid plate and telescopic front fork with rubber boots. The motorcycle features a high handlebar and mid-set footpegs that offer a relaxed and upright rider’s triangle.

2021 Yamaha FZ-X – Technical Specifications

The Yamaha FZ-X comes with a BS6 compliant 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine with electronic fuel injection produces 12.4 PS of power and 13.3 Nm of torque. The Yamaha FZ-X comes with a minimum ground clearance of 165 mm and weighs 139 kg at the kerb.

The Yamaha FZ-X also features a peripheral LED DRL, an off-set fuel filler cap, LED taillamps, tuck & roll seat upholstery, an upswept exhaust. The motorcycle also gets a full-digital instruments cluster with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect features. In addition, the new bike gets a Communication Control Unit which is an India-first for Yamaha motorcycles.

Using the new features, the rider can check smartphone notifications via the instrument cluster. Also, users can track the bike’s last parking location, track fuel consumption and receive malfunction notification. The brand is also offering a unique Revs Dashboard feature, which displays engine rpm, degree of throttle opening, rate of acceleration, an eco-friendly riding indicator, etc. The motorcycle also comes with safety features such as Side Stand with Engine Cut-off Switch and a BOSCH single-channel ABS. 

2021 Yamaha FZ-X – Colours & Availability

The Yamaha FZ-X is available in three colour options – Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Copper. The brand also announced that the FZ-X would be available by the end of June 2021. Furthermore, the first 200 Customers who book the motorcycle online will also receive a limited edition Yamaha G-Shock watch.
