Volkswagen has revealed the 2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI in the international market. The hot hatchback comes with Volkswagen’s Modular Transverse Toolkit (MQB) platform, the offers high body rigidity, low weight and exemplary crash protection properties. The GTI badge has been synonymous with performance for more than five decades now, and the 2021 Poli GTI reiterates with the badge by 204 Hp turbo-petrol motor. The hot hatch also comes with a plethora of features and styling from the Volkswagen Golf.
2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI – Engine Specifications
Powering the Volkswagen Polo GTI is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 204 Hp of power. The engine is capable of propelling the Polo GTI from 0-100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds. The power to the wheels is transmitted using a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The brand is not likely to offer a manual transmission option on the Polo GTI.
2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI – Design Highlights
The new Polo GTI comes with new LED light signatures, a wraparound headlamp and LED DRLs. The car features hexagonal mesh on the air dam and integrated LED fog lights within the hexagon, flanking the front bumper. The Polo GTI features Y-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels shod in sporty low profile tyres. The rear of the Polo GTI features a wraparound LED combination taillamps.

The Volkswagen Polo GTI comes with features such as a new IQ. Light – LED matrix headlights and illuminated radiator grille bar. The car also features animated brake light and integrated dynamic indicators on the new taillamps. It also featuring is Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) integrated into the side of the bumper. On the inside, the Polo GTI features Digital Cockpit Pro with a 10.25-inch screen and an extensive centrally mounted infotainment system with MIB3.1 Connected platform and wireless Apple Carplay along with Android Auto.
2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI – Colours
Volkswagen will retail the Polo GTI in five colour options – Pure White Uni, Deep Black Pearl Effect, Smoke Grey Metallic, Kings Red Metallic, and Reef Blue Metallic.
In the Indian market, the Volkswagen Polo GTI used to come as a CBU import in the 6th generation avatar. But there is no sign if Volkswagen plans to bring the new-generation Polo GTI to India.
