2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift launched at INR 5.73 lakh, 23.76 kmpl with AMT

Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2021 New Swift facelift in the India market with prices starting at INR 5.73 lakh ex-showroom. The Maruti Suzuki Swift comes in five trims namely – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI+ and ZXI+ Dual Tone. The ZXI+ Dual Tone option now comes with three exterior colour options – Pearl Arctic White with Pearl Midnight Black Roof, Pearl Metallic Midnight Blue with Pearl Arctic White Roof and Solid Fire Red with  Pearl Midnight Black Roof. Apart from the new colour options the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift also comes with subtle changes to the exteriors, improved interiors, enhancements to the powertrain and new safety features.

Powertrain

Powering the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift is a next-generation K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with Idle Start Stop (ISS) technology. The dual jet technology engine comes with two injectors per cylinder and the Dual VVT is the twin variable valve timing for both Intake and Exhaust valves. The engine also comes with a cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system that helps boost the fuel efficiency further. Maruti Suzuki claims that the new Swift can return a fuel efficiency of 23.20 kmpl in Manual Transmission and 23.76 kmpl in Auto-Gear Shift (AMT) variants. The 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated motor produces 88.5 Hp of power and 113 Nm of torque.

Changes for 2021

The Maruti Suzuki Swift features a new sporty cross mesh grille with a bold chrome bar on the radiator grille giving the car an imposing front fascia and premium silver ornamentation in the interiors enhancing the cars looks. The list of features includes a new 10.67cm multi-information coloured TFT display for the driver along with a twin-pod meter cluster, a 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio infotainment system with cloud-based services and smartphone connectivity, cruise control, idle start and stop and key-synchronized auto foldable ORVMs. The safety features include Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill-hold in AGS variants, new bigger sized front and rear brakes, steering with enhanced return ability mechanism etc.
