2021 Jeep Compass for India teased, gets a new green colour

Jeep has teased the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift for the Indian market. The brand has confirmed that the 2021 Jeep Compass will be unveiled on the 7th of January 2021. The brand has already introduced the Jeep Compass facelift in the international market. The new Jeep Compas is expected to come with refreshed exteriors, new interiors but the engine line-up that was updated to BS6 emission compliance recently is expected to be carried over. 

The 2021 Jeep Compass teased has been teased with a new Green shade, new exterior features such as reworked headlamp clusters that come integrated with LED daytime running lights, a new honeycomb grille with chrome accents on the intake mesh, a larger air dam with wider intake openings, new fog light housings and alloy wheels that appear similar to the Limited Plus option available in the current model. 

On the interiors, the international Jeep Compass SUV features a redesigned dash with new air-conditioning control and vents, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UConnect 5 that features Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, Amazon Alexa support, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, improved trim quality, brushed aluminium inserts, a new three-spoke steering wheel, double stitching on the dashboard and a new fully digital instrumentation cluster. 

Under the hood, the Jeep Compass is expected to powered by the same BS6 emission-compliant 1.4-litre Multiair four-cylinder petrol motor that produces 162 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed Dual Dry Clutch Automatic Transmission (DDCT). For diesel engine aficionados the new Compass will also be offered in a BS6 emissions-compliant 2.0-litre Multijet oil burner that makes 173 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 9-speed torque converter type automatic gearbox. The Jeep Compass also features a SelecTrain Active four-wheel-drive system with four modes (Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud) which is also be expected to be carried over on the facelift.

The 2021 Jeep Compass will rival the likes of the Skoda Karoq and the Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market.
