2021 Honda CB200X Vs. KTM 250 Adventure – Specification Comparison

Honda recently launched the new adventure sports motorcycle based on the Hornet 2.0. The bike features ADV styling and ergonomics opening up a new dimension in the entry-level adventure segment. The Honda CB200X directly competes with the Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 and the KTM 250 Adventure to some extent. Honda CB200X Vs. KTM 250 Adventure – Price 

Honda launched the CB200X with a price tag of INR 144,500 ex-showroom, Delhi. In comparison, the KTM 250 Adventure comes with a price tag of INR 2.45 lakh ex-showroom. But KTM has slashed INR 25,000 on the sticker price, making the price tag INR 2.30 lakh ex-showroom. But KTM is offering the adventure motorcycle with a reduced price only till 31st August 2021. 

Honda CB200X Vs. KTM 250 Adventure – Engine Specifications

Powering the Honda CB200X is a PGMFI (electronic fuel injected) 184cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 17.3 PS of power and 16.1 Nm of torque and comes with a 5-speed transmission. On the other hand, the KTM 250 Adventure comes with a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. The electronically fuel-injected engine produces 30 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper clutch.

The Honda CB200X comes with a diamond type frame that rides on an upside-down telescopic front fork paired to a monoshock suspension on the rear. The adventure motorcycle also features 1355 mm of the wheelbase, 167 mm of ground clearance and 810 mm of seat height. The bike comes with a 12-litre capacity fuel tank and 147 kg of weight at the kerb. To put things into perspective, the KTM 250 Adventure features a tubular split steel trellis frame with a bolt-on sub-frame. The bike comes with 43mm WP Apex upside down hydraulic forks on the front and an adjustable WP Apex rear monoshock on the rear. The 250 Adventure comes with a 1430 mm wheelbase, 200mm of ground clearance and 855 mm of seat height. 

Honda CB200X Vs. KTM 250 Adventure – Wheels & Brakes

The Honda CB200X rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on the front and rear wheels, and braking power comes from 276 mm front and 220 mm rear petal disc brakes with ABS. The 250 Adventure comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. Braking power comes from 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brake with switchable dual-channel ABS.
