Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S in the Indian market. The 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 starts at INR 23.50 lakhs ex-showroom, India. On the other hand, the higher-spec 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 S comes at the price of INR 28.40 lakh ex-showroom, India. Both the Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S now come with a BS6 compliant engine, expanding its BS6 range of products in India.
Ducati Panigale V4 – Engine Specifications
Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S is a BS6-compliant Desmosedici Stradale engine. The 1,103cc liquid-cooled engine draws inspiration from the MotoGP Ducati Desmosedici and comes with a 90-degree V-four-cylinder architecture. The engine features a 42-degree bank from the horizontal and counter-rotating crankshaft. The twin-pulse firing order engine produces 214 Hp of power and 124 Nm of torque. Ducati has retained the power and torque figures despite the 10mm increase in the size of the catalytic converter. The brand employs noble metal in the exhaust system to extract the maximum amount of polluting gases.
Ducati Panigale V4 – Design & Styling
The Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S are co-developed by Ducati Corse and the Ducati Style Center. The motorcycle features a double split headlamp and Plexiglas, headlight fairing and side fairings. The fairing consists of lateral extractors for efficient airflow of the radiators and aerodynamic appendages to improve the downforce.
Ducati Panigale V4 – Electronics Package
The Ducati Panigale V4 features the latest-generation Ducati Traction Control (DTC EVO 3) with a strategy derived from Ducati Corse. The system gathers angular acceleration data of the crankshaft and the rear wheel speed and prevents slippage of the rear wheel in mid-corner. The technology helps the rider better control the corner even when reopening the throttle at a maximum lean angle. Other electronic features include ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2, Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) EVO.
New features for 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S
For 2021 Ducati has added a new chain guard fin as a safety feature that avoids the contact between the chain and crown in case of a slide. The brand has also added heated grips, and the ignition key has a new, modern design. Both motorcycles also feature new self-bleeding brake and clutch pumps, a feature that made its debut on the Superleggera V4.
The brand has also revealed that the Ducati Panigale V4 and V4 S booking is now open, with deliveries to commence immediately.
