Toyota Kirloskar Motors has announced that the brand has commenced dispatches on the new Urban Cruiser compact SUV in the Indian market. The brand is dispatching the Urban Cruiser before the onset of the festive season keeping up to its promise. The brand opened bookings for the new Urban Cruiser in August 2020 and launched the compact SUV a few weeks ago at the starting price of INR 8.40 lakhs ex-showroom, India.
The Urban Cruiser SUV is targeted towards the young, gen-z audience and is offered in a Toyota exclusive Rustic Brown colour along with Suave Silver, Groovy Orange, Iconic Grey, Spunky Blue and Sunny White monotone colours. The Urban Cruiser is also available in special dual-tone colours such as Rustic Brown with Sizzling Black Roof and Groovy Orange with Sunny White Roof.
The new Toyota Urban Cruiser compact SUV is offered in three variants – Mid, High and Premium, available in both Manual Transmission and Automatic Transmission options. The entry-level ‘Mid’ trim is priced INR 8.40 lakh(MT) – INR 9.80 lakh(AT), the mid-spec variant ‘High’ is priced at INR 9.15 lakh(MT) – INR 10.65 lakh(AT), the top-spec ‘Premium’ trim is priced INR 9.80 lakh(MT) – INR 11.30 lakh(AT).
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is the result of the global Toyota-Suzuki alliance and is the second model launched in Indian under the partnership. The Urban Cruiser is powered by a BS6 emission-compliant ‘K-Series 1.5-litre four-cylinder Petrol Engine that produces 105 Hp of power and 138 Nm of torque matched to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain also comes with an Integrated Starter Generator motor coupled to a Lithium-Ion battery that provides torque assist and comes with Brake Energy Regeneration Function. Toyota claims the Urban Cruiser can return a fuel efficiency of 17.03 kmpl (MT) and 18.76 kmpl (AT).
Toyota also offers 3 Years or 1 lakh km warranty, on the Urban Cruiser compact SUV in the Indian market.
