2020 Honda WR-V Facelift Review

Honda in the Indian market finally launched the facelift model of the Honda WR-V crossover SUV priced starting at INR 8.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Honda WR-V is based on the Honda Jazz, a premium hatchback in the Indian market but features a completely different top hat, with its own unique styling and features distinguishing itself from the Jazz hatchback. 

The 2020 Honda WR-V facelift is offered in four trims, two in the petrol engine iteration and two in the diesel iteration. The entry-level trim is SV petrol and the VX diesel is the top-of-the-line model priced at INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom. The VX petrol and SV diesel are priced at INR 9.69 lakh ex-showroom and 9.79 lakh ex-showroom respectively. 

The 2020 Honda WR-V facelift is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol i-VTEC engine that produces 90 ps of power and 110 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. For diesel aficionados, the Japanese carmaker also offers a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 99 ps of power and 200 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel-powered car achieves conformity by employing NSC (NOx Storage Catalyst) unit for after treatment as well as a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). 

The Honda WR-V facelift features new 3D inserts on the LED projector headlamp with integrated LED daytime running lights, refreshed inserts on the rounded foglights, C-shaped LED combination taillamp unit, muscular wheels arches with plastic claddings that gives it the SUV-like design traits, silver roof rails, alloy wheels, rock guards on the lower parts of the doors and a one-touch electric sunroof. On the interiors, the WR-V facelift features a centrally mounted 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity features, analogue instrumentation with digital multi-information display, control mounted steering wheel and premium features such as push-button engine start/stop and cruise control. The 2020 Honda WR-V also features safety equipment such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a rearview camera, reverse parking sensors, ECU immobiliser, seatbelt reminder, etc.
