An iconic nameplate in the Indian automobile industry, the Honda City is now available in a new avatar. Honda has launched the 5th generation City sedan in India at prices starting from INR 10.89 lakh. For now, the old Honda City co-exists with the new 5th generation model and potential buyers will have to make a choice. The new City is much larger in the space that it offers along with latest features, so it should also be a lucrative upgrade even to existing Honda City owners in India. Honda City sedans have been running on the Indian streets since 1998 and have been setting benchmarks ever since. The diesel Honda City is exclusive to the Indian market.
Price List & Variants:
The new Honda City measures 4549mm in length, 1748mm in width, 1489mm in height, 2600mm in wheelbase, 1496mm in front track, 1484mm in rear track, fuel tank capacity of 40L, boot capacity of 506L and weight ranging between 1153kg (kerb) to 1592 kg (gross). The new City is now the longest and widest car in the segment.
Powering the 2020 Honda City are familiar engines, but now BS6 compliant. The heavily reworked petrol motor on the new Honda City is a 1498cc, 4-cylinder, i-VTEC, DOHC motor producing 121 PS of peak power @ 6600 RPM and 145 Nm of peak torque @ 4300 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT automatic option. Honda claims mileage of 17.8 kmpl in manual and 18.4 kmpl mileage in CVT automatic variants. The diesel engine on the Honda City is the 1.5L, 4-cylinder, i-DTEC block producing 100 PS of peak power @ 3600 RPM and 200 Nm of peak torque @ 1750 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new City diesel claims a mileage of 24.1 kmpl.

The new Honda City will be offered in 5 body colour options, all of which already exist in the Honda portfolio.
