Royal Enfield Rider Mania is finally back. After a long break of two years, the three-day event has commenced in Goa. The company showcased its latest bike, the Super Meteor 650. Apart from the motorbike, Royal Enfield has also showcased a 1:3 scale limited-edition version of the Classic 500.
Royal Enfield has finally released an affordable motorcycle. Albeit, this one is a replica scale mode. Handcrafted in 1:3 scale, the bike weighs 8.5 kg and measures 780 mm in length, 380 mm in width and 261 mm in height.
Over 250 individual parts have been used to make this miniature. Royal Enfield engineers have paid a lot of attention to detail. The fuel tank, body panels, etc., all have received the same actual surface treatment as the real motorcycle. The scale model also features working front and rear suspension while the throttle, brake and clutch levers are functional.
If one is to nit-pick, only the rear view mirrors are missing on the replica bike. Other than that, all other elements have been designed honest to the real deal. The iconic teardrop-shaped tank, the single-cylinder engine and decals and badging have all been done up in great detail. Even the tiny details, like the chromed rear shock absorbers and the seat springs, look very detailed.
The scale model will be offered in a choice of eighteen colours. Eight of these colours are available exclusively at the Rider Mania. Some of these colours include the Redditch Red, Teal Green, Chrome Black, Gun Grey, Maroon Chrome, Battle Green, Desert Storm and Jet Black.
Interested buyers can pay a token amount of INR 2,000 and reserve their bikes. That said, Royal Enfield has yet to announce the exact quantity of bikes they would be making.
