110cc BS6 TVS Sport achieves a new mileage record of 110.12 kmpl

TVS Motor Company has announced that the TVS Sport commuter motorcycle has achieved a new on-road mileage record of 110.12 kmpl. The new record on a 110cc motorcycle was confirmed as the ‘Highest on-road fuel efficiency achieved by a motorcycle’ in India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records. The record was achieved by Mr. Pavitra Patro when he covered a total distance of 1021.90 km in 54 laps, with fuel consumption of 9.28 litres.

Mr. Patro began his ride on 8th August 2020 and concluded the ride on 13th August 2020, as part of the United India Ride Series. This is the second time the brand has achieved a mileage record and last year the BS6 100cc TVS Sport was garnered with the ‘Highest Fuel efficiency delivered by a motorcycle on the Golden Quadrilateral’ in India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records with an on-road mileage of 76.4 kmpl.

The TVS Sport is powered by a BS6 emission compliant 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine with TVS Eco Thrust Fuel Injection (ETFI) technology that produces 8.3 ps of power and 8.7 Nm of torque matched to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox with multi-plate wet clutch and claims a top speed of 90 kmph. Under standard road conditions the TVS Eco Thrust Fuel Injection (ETFI) technology promises to deliver a balance between overall performance and mileage. The kick starter model weighs in at 110 kgs at the kerb and gets a 10-litre capacity fuel tank. 

The TVS Sport is positioned in the commuter motorcycle segment and is priced starting INR 51,750 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Kick start variant and INR 58,925 ex-showroom, Delhi for the Self Start variant. Both the variants come with 17-inch black finished alloy wheels as standard. 

The motorcycle is available in a colour selection of Black Blue, Black Red, Mercury Grey, Volcano Red, White Purple & White Red.
