Sony India has launched a new touchscreen infotainment system, XAV-AX8100. The new XAV-AX8100 enhances the customer’s navigation and connectivity experience. The Sony XAV-AX8100 is the upgrade to the well-received XAV-AX8000. The new system brings utility features, powerful sound, and smart features. For added entertainment options and audio-visual connectivity, the XAV-AX8100 incorporates a brand new HDMI input with an introductory price of INR 36,990. The system also comprises an 8.95-inch display for aiding driver convenience while following directions, song search, and select or audio customization.

Sony XAV-AX8100 – Connectivity Features

The display features an anti-glare touch responsive panel. This enables better visibility and safer use on the road for the driver. The XAV-AX8100 empowers drivers to connect their smartphones via multiple platforms such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Web Link. Apple CarPlay enables an iPhone to make phone calls, access music, send and receive messages via the system’s display. It also offers optimized traffic directions for the driver during driving and supports third-party navigation apps for added choices to reach the destination.

Sony XAV-AX8100 – Voice Commands for a Safer Drive

Android Auto acts as a more efficient way to use a smartphone via the car’s display. Prioritizing safety and convenience, Android Auto aids the driver to stay focused, connected, and entertained while driving using voice commands. Specifically designed for in-vehicle use, the Weblink app can mirror any Android or iOS device onto the display screen. The app establishes a connection straight to the car’s audio display, offering reliable and responsive infotainment.

Sony XAV-AX8100 – Flexibility

Sony also offers the XAV-AX8100 with a 3-stage adjustable display mount, allowing the driver to adjust the screen in 3 directions. The mount can be installed in any vehicle and offers flexible visibility while driving. Sony’s head unit provides clear sound with fewer distortions thanks to a 5-volt signal provided by the high voltage 3-pre out. Drivers are offered the capability to adjust and create a sound field inside the car due to the system’s Digital Sound Processing (DSP).

Sony XAV-AX8100 – Lossless Audio and Dynamic Stage Organizer

The Dynamic Stage Organizer (DSO) aids in creating an ambient sound to mimic speakers found on the vehicle’s dashboard. The 10-band equalizer (EQ10) offers easy and effective frequency adjustment for various listening environments along with ten presets. The system can play Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) files up to a 24-bit depth and sampling frequency at 48 kHz. Starting 4th October 2021, Sony’s new XAV-AX8100 will be available at any car showroom or accessories shop in India.
