With the decreasing cases of Covid-19 in India, most automotive companies are coming up with new offers. The lockdown period was quite challenging for the whole automotive industry as the sales were meagre. Thus, to boost the sales and lure in more customers, Toyota has developed a ‘Buy Now and Pay Later’ scheme for the Urban Cruiser. As of now, there now’s official details of the offer. But, Toyota is advertising this scheme aggressively on various social media platforms. Under this scheme, the interested customers can own the car now and pay the amount in October 2021. This is the first time that Toyota is offering such an offer.
Toyota Urban Cruiser – Engine And Specification
Toyota Urban Cruiser is the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Both are identical in each dimension, including the exterior, interior, and mechanical features. Under the hood of the Urban Cruiser lies a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 105 BHP of power and 138 Nm of torque. There are two gearbox options, a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter. Like Brezza, the Urban Cruiser also gets the SHVS Smart Hybrid technology which helps in improving the car’s mileage.
Toyota Urban Cruiser – Rivals And Competition
With the growing demand for SUVs in the market, a customer has many options to choose from. Urban Cruiser competes in the sub-4 meter SUV body type, one of the hotly contested segments. The rivals of the Urban Cruiser include the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Under the new partnership of Maruti Suzuki and Toyota, both automakers will share a lot of products in the coming years. The most recent one being Toyota’s version of the Ciaz. As per sources, Toyota will launch the rebadged Ciaz under the ‘Belta’ nameplate. The sedan will replace the Yaris in Toyota’s stable, which has already been discontinued.
