Bajaj will be entering the proper quarter-litre segment with at least two iterations of the Pulsar brand. Images of the Pulsar 250 emerged on the internet in February 2021, and a semi-faired version is seen testing, which could be the Pulsar 250F.

The nomenclature is not official, but the similar semi-faired motorcycle-style leads us to believe that the new Pulsar 250 come with an ‘F’ suffix. The 250F nomenclature could have drawn inspiration from the famous 220F moniker, which also comes with a semi-fairing.

According to the spy shots, the Pulsar 250F will come with a half fairing with headlamps incorporated into it. The 250F will also come with fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors and clip-on handlebars. The half-fairing also mingles well with the fuel tank and gets a tall flyscreen to deflect the wind and protect the rider from weather elements. The test mule features alloy wheels similar to the Pulsar NS range, right-side-up telescopic front forks suspension, a mono-shock on the rear and disc brakes on both ends.

Similarities with Pulsar 250 Spotted Earlier

The headlamp and tail lamp design on the Pulsar 250F remains decoded due to the heavy camouflage cover. At this point, it will also be unfair to hypothesize anything further. But, other components such as the alloy wheels, tyre hugger, disc brakes and the stubby exhaust canister all appear similar to the Pulsar 250, images of which appeared on the internet back in February.

Powertrain

Unlike other Bajaj NS models, the Pulsar 250F may not receive the KTM derived motor, which we see in the Dominar 250. But, Bajaj is developing a longer-stroke engine similar to the Pulsar 220F architecture. Which means an oil-cooled engine could be in order. Speculations are that the new engine will pump 24 Bhp of power and come with a 6-speed gearbox. This could make it popular even in the highway touring segment.
