Royal Enfield plans ABS for new models

With the government inching closer to pass the law to make ABS mandatory on all motorcycles & scooters over 125cc; Royal Enfield is also looking at introducing this safety feature.

Now, purists & Royal Enfield fanboys would cry that this will take away from the overall feel of the motorcycle; but we think that introducing ABS does more good than harm to any two-wheeler.

Reports claim that the brand is already in talks with ABS manufacturers to develop units suitable for their upcoming models. This hints that the new 410cc Himalayan could be the 1st Royal Enfield to come equipped with ABS.

Pricing for Royal Enfield models however is already a big too much, and addition of ABS will make it even more overpriced.
