In the recent past, Husqvarna introduced the new Svartpilen 250, introducing the bike to the scrambler segment in the Indian market. The motorcycle did not have a proper competitor at the time, until last month, when Classic Legends launched the Yeadi Scrambler. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a classic Scrambler design and modern features. Now we pin the new Yezdi Scrambler against the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 in a technical specification comparison.
The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a starting price of INR 2,04,900 ex-showroom, which goes up to a price tag of INR 2,10,900 ex-showroom depending on the colour option. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes with a price tag of INR 2.10 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering the Yezdi Scrambler is a liquid-cooled 334cc single-cylinder DOHC engine. The engine produces 29.1 PS of power and 28.2 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes with a liquid-cooled 248.76cc single-cylinder DOHC engine. The motor produces 30 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch.
The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a double cradle chassis that rides on 150mm travel on the front and 130mm travel on the rear with twin shocks. On the other hand, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes with a steel trellis chassis that rides on WP 43mm USD suspension on the front and WP monoshock on the rear.
Yezdi offers the Scrambler with 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The Scrambler rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked rims shod in 100/90 front and 140/70 rear tyres. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a 12.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 182 kgs. The Scrambler comes with a ground clearance of 200mm and a saddle height of 800mm. The Svartpilen 250 comes with a 320mm front disc with a 230mm rear disc brake with dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on a 9.5-litre fuel tank capacity and 154 kg of kerb weight. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels with tubeless dual-sport tyres. The bike also comes with a ground clearance of 145mm and a seat height of 835mm.
The Yezdi Scrambler comes with features such as LED headlamps and taillamps, full digital instruments cluster and an integrated flyscreen. The motorcycle also comes with handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points as well as Road, Off-Road and Rain riding modes as standard. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes with all-LED lighting, digital instruments cluster, luggage mounting provision on the fuel tank and alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
