In an effort to create awareness amongst the customers on the superior mileage of its 125cc Hybrid scooter model range, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) organised a ‘Mileage Challenge Activity’ in partnership with its authorised dealerships in Cochin Peringhat Motors, Indel Automotives and Sri Vigneswara Motor. Yamaha mentioned that more than 100 Yamaha customers participated in the activity. Currently, Yamaha’s 125cc Hybrid scooter model range comprises Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid. The event had the presence of Yamaha’s Senior Management members alongside all three Dealer VIPs and customers.
The Mileage Challenge Activity began with a briefing session for the participants. During the briefing session, the participants got complete guidelines and tips on efficient riding behaviour. Furthermore, the participants were also briefed about the route planned for the ride. This route included a mix of city traffic, undulations, and open roads. Thus, allowing them to also experience the scooter’s suspension, manoeuvrability, braking, acceleration, and initial pick-up.
After returning to the venue, the participants refuelled to match the earlier fuel level. And thus, the refilled amount of fuel showed the exact mileage of the scooters. All the visiting customers received souvenirs, a free water wash, and a 10-point inspection of their scooters. Meanwhile, the top 5 winners got trophies, certificates, and gift cards for achieving the highest mileage. The highest achieved mileage for this event was 106.89 kmpl, achieved by Ms Riya. Second on the list was Mr Johnson Thomas at 106 km/l. And on the 3rd, we had Ms Avani at 104.27 kmpl.
The main aim of the Mileage Challenge Activity was to create awareness of the fuel-efficiency figures customers were able to achieve. With the ever-increasing fuel prices, this Mileage Challenge Activity was very crucial for the customers to know the potential of their scooters. Yamaha also showcased attributes like the Hybrid-Assist system related to fuel efficiency. At the same time, it also helped customers learn more efficient ways of riding their scooters to generate the best mileage and save money.
