Yamaha ‘The Call of the Blue’ Track Day organised in Chennai

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha recently organised a Track Day event for its customers at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai. Following Yamaha’s ‘The Call of The Blue’ brand strategy, the event offered customers the chance to experience a race track. During the event, customers gained experience based on various parameters and differences involved in riding on a race track. Additionally, customers also got the chance to observe and learn about the differences between race track riding versus everyday riding.

‘The Call of The Blue’ Track Day: Details 

The event featured over 500 Yamaha enthusiasts who made their appearance at MMRT to witness Yamaha’s wide range of models. Yamaha reveals that a total of 200 customers owning the YZF-R3, YZF-R15, MT-15, the FZ range, and the AEROX 155, participated in the event. The Track Day event is one of many platforms curated by Yamaha to establish its global image as an exciting brand. It also allows the company to showcase its strong racing heritage by giving customers a sense of pride and belongingness.

Under The Call of the Blue umbrella in 2022, Yamaha will continue to introduce new products in the premium segment. This will also include hosting and conducting unique Track Day events for its customers across the country with its portfolio. These track day experiences will majorly include Safety Tips, Posture training, trial sessions, track experience, etc., for Indian customers. Currently, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. is focusing on expanding its customer base and launching new products in India.

Other News 

During the first week of March 2022, Yamaha made its first big move by entering the global electric mobility segment. The two-wheeler manufacturer revealed two of its upcoming electric two-wheelers- Neo based on the E02 concept and the E01. Yamaha has not revealed the details of the e-scooter, but sources state that the e-scooter is comparable to a 50cc ICE-powered scooter.

Yamaha first introduced and unveiled the E02 concept at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show. Meanwhile, the 2nd week of February 2022 witnessed Yamaha unveiling the Tenere 700 World Raid edition motorcycle for global markets. The adventure-tourer sports a plethora of mechanical and feature updates over the standard version with two new colour schemes.
