Yamaha has introduced the new Tracer 9 GT ABS in the Japanese market. The brand announced that the 2021 Tracer 9 GT ABS comes with a price tag of JPY 1,452,000 MSRP. The Tracer 9 GT ABS will be available for sale in Japan from 28th July 2021. The motorcycle comes with Yamaha’s renowned triple engine, state-of-the-art ergonimics and electronic features. The Tracer 9 GT can power through corners and cruise long distances. Hence the bike is known as the “Multirole fighter of the Motorcycle .”
Powering the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT ABS is a CP3-series three-cylinder in-line engine. The 888cc triple engine features a YCC-T (electronically controlled throttle) for throttle valve control and a new downdraft intake. The engine also gets a direct plating on the cylinder that provides superior heat dissipation and an offset cylinder for reduced power loss. The motor produces 120 PS of power and 93 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed return-type gearbox with assist & slipper clutch.
The Yamaha Tracer 9 GT ABS comes with a diamond frame made with the latest Controlled Filling (CF) aluminium die-casting technology. The lightweight frame, along with the rigid steel subframe, ensures both cornering agility and straight-line stability. The motorcycle rides on KYB electronically controlled suspension. The suspension is linked to a 6-axis IMU and capable of providing optimum damping force based on real-time running conditions. The Tracer 9 GT ABS rides on Yamaha’s Spin Forged 17-inch alloy wheels shod in BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T32GT Spec developed explicitly for the motorcycle by Bridgestone.
The Yamaha Tracer 9 GT ABS comes with twin split LED headlights, LED DRLs, cornering light function, height-adjustable windscreen, heated grips and knuckle guards. The motorcycle also gets cruise control, ABS, driving modes, quick-shifter and twin 3.5-inch full-colour TFT displays.
Currently, Yamaha does not plan to bring the Tracer 9 GT ABS to India.
