Yamaha YZF R15 V4 receives a price hike of INR 3,000. With this, the motorcycle’s price now starts at INR 1,70,800 (ex-showroom). Interestingly, Yamaha has hiked the cost of the R15 V4 for the first time since its launch in September 2021. R15 has been one of the top sellers in the country, with a massive fan following. In the latest iteration, the motorcycle looks much more stealthy with enhanced bodywork. In addition to this, R15 V4 also gets a host of riding aids to keep the rider busy.
Engine and Mechanicals
Powering the R15 V4 is a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The ones wondering what this 155cc motor can do must brace themselves for the riding experience that the R15 offers. The figures read as 18.1 Bhp of power and 14.2 Nm of torque. The equipped variable valve actuation functionality aids in the free-revving motor till the redline. And honestly, this 155 cc engine is a joy to ride. Other key mechanical highlights are upside-down forks, a delta box frame and an aluminium swingarm. Braking power comes from a disc set up both at the front and rear. The fuel tank of 11 litres is adequate for weekend trips and is similar to what the rivals are offering.
Styling Changes
The 2021 updated model gets a revised front fascia. The new bi-functional LED headlight replaces the twin-pod headlight in the outgoing model. Other styling highlights include M air duct design, a step-up seat, a full-fairing, and a side-slung exhaust. The motorcycle gets a digital instrument cluster, Assist & Slipper Clutch, Traction Control System, Quick Shifter, and more in terms of features.

Yamaha R15 V4 is available in 4 different colour shades. First is the Metallic Red that retails at INR 1,70,800. Second, on the list is the Dark Knight that has a sticker price of INR 1,71,800. The other two colour shades are the Racing Blue and Metallic Grey that retail at INR 1,75,800 and 1,80,000, respectively. There’s a special Monster Energy MotoGP edition that costs INR 1,82,800. All prices mentioned are in the ex-showroom.
