Yamaha Motor India has brought in the 2023 MT-15 V2 for the Indian market. The prices now start from INR 1,64,900 (ex-showroom) onwards. This motorcycle will take on the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM 125 Duke, and Apache RTR 200 4V.
Colour Shade Options For The 2023 Yamaha MT-15
Customers can have this roadster-segment motorcycle in two variants and six colour options. This includes Dark Matte Blue (new) and Metallic Black (new) which are new. Then we have Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-vermillion, Racing Blue, and Metallic Black DLX colour shades. The styling, on the other hand, remains pretty much the same as the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2.
It continues to get a projector-style headlight with twin DRLs. Then we have the typical muscular fuel tank, an engine cowl, a step-up seat, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch wheels on both front and rear. Yamaha India also offers a slew of optional accessories. These are tank pad, skid plate, USB charger, and adjustable levers.
Mechanical Highlights Of The 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2
The mechanical additions for this update are quite limited. This includes the addition of OBD2 hardware. Meanwhile, the motorcycle continues with the same 155cc, liquid-cooled motor, single-cylinder with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system. This is the same engine shared with the YZF-R15 series. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine delivers a maximum output of 18.1 BHP at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm.

As mentioned, the MT-15 V2 is available in two variants namely, Standard and Y-connect. The latter gets Bluetooth connectivity which brings in additional features. This includes call alerts, SMS and email alert, last parked location, phone battery level, and malfunction notifications. In addition to this, all colour options, except Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black paint themes, benefit from full-LED lighting. Noteworthy to mention that, the Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black paint themes use bulb-type turn indicators and don’t benefit from Bluetooth connectivity.
