Yamaha launches MT-15 Version 2.0 in India at INR 1,68,400

Yamaha has announced a bunch of new launches for 2023. Let us take a look at the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0. Yamaha has priced the bike at INR 1,68,400 and it comes with some new features and changes. 

What’s new in the 2023 Yamaha MT-15?

The Yamaha MT-15 Ver 2.0 now comes with a host of new features. These include the likes of traction control system, dual channel ABS, upside-down front forks and an aluminium swing arm amongst others. Till now, the traction control system was only offered in higher end bikes, but kudos to Yamaha for offering it in the 150cc segment of motorcycles. 

Other features on the bike include bi-functional LED headlamp, multi-function LCD instrument cluster and revised LED tail light cluster with LED indicators. Customers can now choose amongst four colour options for their Yamaha MT-15. These include the Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo Vermillion, Racing Blue and Metallic Black Deluxe.

The bike is also now compatible with the OBD 2 norms. This means, Yamaha has fitted an Onboard diagnostic device which is compliant with the new emission norms. It will throw out a warning in case there is any issue with the emission’s system.  

Powertrain of the 2023 Yamaha MT-15

Yamaha has equipped the MT-15 Ver 2.0 with its 155cc liquid cooled engine. This 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve unit comes with a variable valve actuation system which ensures that the engine develops 18.4 PS of peak power @ 10,000 rpm and a max torque of 14.2 Nm @ 7,500 rpm. Additionally, Yamaha has also offered a assist and slipper clutch along with a 6-speed manual gearbox on the 2023 Yamaha MT-15.

Yamaha is also offering a connected-bike app wit the MT-25 Version 2.0. When paired with the bike, smartphone alerts like calls, SMS/Email alerts and the phones battery is displayed on the instrument cluster.
