Yamaha has just launched the all-new FZ Version 3.0 in India. This is a new motorcycle for 2019, and it finally comes with ABS. Earlier launched with the Lord Of The Streets campaign, the FZ has been a popular choice in the premium commuter space, and the new model for 2019 is expected to gain more customers.
The new design of the motorcycle, which is an urban fighter motorcycle, is reminiscent of the FZ family. Although all-new, it still is strikingly an FZ model.
The bike continues with the sculpted fuel tank, which gives the bike a muscular form. The bike gets a new LED headlamp, similar to the FZ-25, but slightly different in design. The bike gets a complete redesign, but only the tail lamp housing looks similar to the old bike. The 2019 Yamaha FZ also gets a mid-ship exhaust. Other features include a tyre hugger, multi-spoke alloy wheels, tank shrouds, contoured seats, engine under belly cowl, front and rear disc brake, full digital speedo console, all-black theme for the engine and chassis.
Yamaha has launched the 2019 motorcycle in 2 variants as usual, the standard FZ & FZ-S. The bike will be available in a total of 5 colour options.
The seat is now 16% larger for more comfort and +5mm thicker. The bike gets a 140mm radial rear tyre, 1-inch ABS unit, LCD speedometer, aluminium single-piece grab rail. The LED headlamp has separate housing for high & low beam.
The engine is a 149cc, FI engine with Yamaha’s Blue Core technology. This engine produces 13.2 PS of power @ 8000 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The ABS unit on the 2019 Yamaha FZ is a single-channel unit, meaning it works on the front wheel only.
- The FZ FI ABS has been priced at INR 95,000 (ex-showroom)
- The FZ-S FI ABS has been priced at INR 97,000 (Ex-showroom)
