Yamaha Aerox 155 Review

In September 2021, India Yamaha Motor launched the brand’s first liquid-cooled maxi-scooter in the Indian market, the Aerox 155. The new Aerox 155 features a bold and beautiful design along with the brand’s venerable 155cc LC4V engine with a CVT transmission. The brand also launched the Yamaha Monster MotoGP limited edition for the Aerox 155, which is now sold out in the country. Yamaha Aerox 155 – Price and Colours

Yamaha recently hiked the prices of the Aerox 155 by around INR 2,000. The Aerox 155 is now available with a price tag of INR 1.31 lakh ex-showroom. The Aerox 155 is now available in three colour options – Metallic Black, Racing Blue and Grey Vermillion. The Yamaha Monster Energy MotoGP limited edition is now discontinued. When launched, the special colour theme was available at the price of INR 130,500 ex-showroom. 

Yamaha Aerox 155 – Design and Features

The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with a “Heart-Shaking Speedster”. The Aerox 155 also features a futuristic design language with an ‘X’ Centre Motif. The scooter combines a sporty ride feel with comfortable ergonomics enabling the rider to use the scooter every day. The Aerox comes with a large step-up seat along with a large 24.5-litre under-seat storage, a step-over design and a sporty footboard. The Aerox 155 comes with LED DRLs, LED headlamps and LED taillamps. The scooter also comes with a small front pocket with USB charging and an external fuel door for easy refuelling. The Aerox 155 also gets a full LCD 5.8-inch instrument cluster with Yamaha Y-Connect Bluetooth connectivity. 

Yamaha Aerox 155 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a 155cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The engine features an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This maximises both performance and efficiency on the scooter. The motor produces 15 PS of power and 13.9 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic gearbox.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with 26mm telescopic front suspension and twin shock absorbers. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/80 front and 140/70 rear tubeless tyres. Braking power comes from a 230mm front disc and a 130mm mechanical drum on the rear. The Yamaha Aerox 155 measures 1,980mm in length, 700mm in width and 1,150mm in height. The scooter comes with a wheelbase of 1350mm, 790mm of seat height and a minimum ground clearance of 145mm. The Aerox 155 tips the scales at 126 kg at the kerb and fuel tank capacity of 5.5-litres.
