Yamaha Motor India has unveiled a new variant of its popular R15M motorcycle, now featuring a carbon fibre style finish. This update comes just in time before the feative season to attract new buyers.
The new R15M variant boasts a carbon fibre pattern inspired by the high-performance R1M. This pattern, applied using water-dipping technology, adorns the front cowl, side fairings, and rear side panels, giving the bike a sleek and aggressive look. Complementing the carbon fibre finish are new decals on the tank and side fairings, along with blue wheels and an all-black front fender.
In addition to its visual appeal, the R15M comes equipped with several new features aimed at enhancing the riding experience. The bike now includes a Turn-by-Turn Navigation feature, as well as music and volume control capabilities, accessible via the Yamaha Y-Connect application. This app, available for both Android and iOS devices, allows riders to connect their smartphones to the motorcycle, providing seamless integration and control.
Underneath its stylish exterior, the R15M remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 155 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 18.10 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch and a quickshifter. The bike also includes traction control and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that kicks in at 7,400 rpm.
The new R15M with the carbon fibre pattern is priced at INR 2,08,300 (ex-showroom), while the Metallic Grey variant is available at INR 1,98,300 (ex-showroom). Both versions are available for purchase at Yamaha Blue Square Showrooms across India.
