XZ+ variants of Tiago & Tigor get Apple CarPlay

Popular products from Tata Motors, Tiago and Tigor models are now upgraded with Apple CarPlay in their infotainment. Tata Tiago and Tigor customers can now visit Tata service centres to get their infotainment systems updated with the latest version of the software. The update is made for the XZ+ variant of the Tiago and the Tigor.

The update is for the Harman 17.7 cm touchscreen infotainment system which earlier came only with Android Auto connectivity and now Tata has upgraded it for iPhone users with the Apple CarPlay connectivity. Upgrades other than the digital infotainment system include a new alloy wheel and headlight revision.

In the engine department both the vehicles do not see any changes and are still available with two powertrain options –

  • 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Revotron petrol producing 85 PS of power @ 6000 RPM and 114 Nm of torque @ 3500 RPM coupled to a 5-speed manual or AMT (Automated Manual Transmission)
  • 1.05-litre, three-cylinder, Revotorq diesel producing 70 PS of Power @ 4000 RPM and 140 Nm of torque @ 1800-3000 RPM mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Both the engines come with multi-drive modes.

The Tiago measures 3746 mm in length, 1647 mm in width and 1535 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2400 mm. The Tigor measures 3992 mm in height, 1677 mm in width and 1537 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2450 mm. Both the cars get the same ground clearance of 165-170 mm depending on variant. The boot space on the Tiago is 242 litres and on the Tigor is 419 litres.

The Tiago XZ+ is price starts from INR 5.71 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi and the Tigor XZ+ price starts from INR 6.75 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.
