Mahindra Xylo facelift coming soon

The Mahindra Xylo has been a mediocre performer since a couple of months when it comes to sales numbers. Now, it is being reported that Mahindra is working on an updated version of the MPV to keep it looking fresh amongst increasing competition.

The Xylo facelift will get revised styling on the exteriors as well as interiors. Expect body decals on the side and rear, chrome additions on exteriors, dual-tone black and beige dashboard, new fabric for seats, new instrument cluster, split and folding third row seat and better lumbar support in second row seats. Apart from this, the MPV will also get a revision in its suspension setup to make it more car-like to drive. The Xylo has been given the mHawk engine last year and is expected to be offered with this facelift.

The Xylo was a spacious car, amongst the best in terms of space in its segment. But other (smaller) easy to drive and more car-like MPVs such as the Maruti Ertiga gained better traction in the market. The MPV segment is growing fast now and Mahindra wants to regain the lost momentum. Pricing is expected to increase marginally for the updated Xylo. Apart from the Xylo, Mahindra is also extensively road-testing the facelift Scorpio.
