Volvo will pay for COVID-19 vaccine cost of employees & their families

Volvo, the luxury Swedish car manufacturer announces that it will bear the cost of vaccinating its employees and their families against COVID-19. This comes in just after few other automotive firms like Toyota and TVS made similar announcements providing free COVID-19 vaccination for their employees. Volvo brand, which is synonymous with safety will take the utmost care by safeguarding its employees from the prevailing CoronaVirus pandemic. Volvo mentions that it is a people-centric company with employees as its first priority. Recently, the company has announced a gender-neutral leave policy that entitles both the parents of a newborn baby to take leave so as to get enough time to engage in the joys of parenthood. Currently, as we witness the rising COVID-19 cases as the 2nd wave comes in, Volvo India is following flexible working norms to ensure the safety and well being of its employees.

Volvo Cars In India

The luxury carmaker made its mark in the country by establishing itself in 2007. Since then, Volvo has added, 25 dealerships located in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR – South Delhi, West Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Raipur, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, West Mumbai, South Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Surat, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. Volvo is all geared up to launch its first-ever all-electric vehicle in the country in the form of XC40 Recharge. This launch is in tune with the brand’s target of selling only petrol and electric cars in India from 2022, thus putting a stop to its diesel car production. Even on the global scale, Volvo has put up a target to only sell electric vehicles from 2030 and the sales will happen exclusively via online channels, mimicking what Tesla is doing right now

Under the brand’s commitment to a zero-emission future, Volvo has revealed the C 40 Recharge SUV in the international market, which will soon go on sale only via online channel.
