Volvo has launched a new variant for their flagship SUV, the XC90. The Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console SUV is now the new top trim and has been priced at INR 1.42 crore. Volvo has other lower priced variants of the XC90 on sale as well here in the Indian market.
This model of the XC90 is unique because it comes with a 3-seater layout. For this segment, there is no other SUV in the Indian market which offers just a 3-seat capacity, but then, it comes with unmatched luxury. The front passenger seat in the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console with the ottoman unit includes a leg resting section which can be activated, there is a lockable storage bin, and a folding 17″ rear touchscreen which can also be flipped to be used as a working table. There is also seat ventilation with massage function for the rear occupant.
This unique 3-seater Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console will be brought to India only in limited numbers and bookings are now open.
Powering the Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console is a T8 engine which we have also seen in the XC90 Excellence variant. This 2.0L, turbocharged and supercharged gasoline engine produces 320 HP of peak power and powers the front-wheels of the SUV. The rear wheels get an 87 HP electric motor which make the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console an all-wheel drive SUV with a combined power output of 407 HP. For a petrol engine, this variant pumps 640 Nm of monstrous torque to allow for good driveability matched with an automatic gearbox of course.
Other features in the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console include a 1400-watt Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, crystal gear selector from Orrefors, refrigerator, Nappa leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, etc.
