Volkswagen will launch Virtus & Taigun facelift in 2026

Volkswagen has announced plans to launch the facelift versions of its popular models, the Virtus and Taigun, by late 2025 or early 2026. The updated models are expected to feature cosmetic changes and new features, while retaining the same engine lineup.

Design and Features

The facelifted Virtus and Taigun will receive sheet metal changes, incorporating design elements inspired by Volkswagen’s latest global models. The updated models are expected to feature a more modern and aggressive exterior, with new headlamps, bumpers, and grille designs. Inside, both cars will get upgraded materials and finishes, enhancing the overall feel of luxury and sophistication.

One of the key highlights of the facelift is the introduction of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, which will be offered on both the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engines. This suite includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, making the cars safer and more convenient to drive.

Market Impact and Customer Reception

The updated Virtus and Taigun are expected to attract a wide range of buyers, from young professionals to families. The new features and refreshed designs will make these models more competitive in their respective segments, appealing to both existing Volkswagen customers and new buyers. The facelifts are part of Volkswagen’s strategy to keep its models fresh and relevant in the market. Volkswagen will also be adding the Kylaq based sub-4 meter SUV to ita portfolio by 2026.
