Volkswagen has officially unveiled the performance figures for its sporty Tiguan R-Line SUV, setting a new benchmark in the premium SUV segment. Slated for launch on April 14, 2025, the Tiguan R-Line combines German engineering precision with dynamic design, making it a standout addition to Volkswagen’s portfolio.

Under the hood, the Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine. This robust unit delivers 204 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, ensuring a thrilling driving experience. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, offering smooth and responsive gear shifts. The SUV also features Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, which enhances traction and handling across various terrains.

On the exterior, the Tiguan R-Line stands out with its bold design elements. The aerodynamic chassis, with a drag coefficient of 0.28, contributes to both performance and fuel efficiency.

The Tiguan R-Line will be available in six stunning colors, including Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, and Nightshade Blue Metallic. As a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU), the SUV is expected to carry a price tag of around INR 55 lakh (ex-showroom), competing against rivals like the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
