Volkswagen has launched a new limited edition of its popular Tiguan SUV. Dubbed as the Exclusive Edition, the car is priced at INR 33.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
What’s new in the Tiguan Exclusive Edition
While there have been no mechanical changes to the car, Volkswagen has equipped this limited version with some unique features. These include a rear boot sill, sporty Seabing Sterling Silver alloy wheels in 18-inch size, aluminium pedals and dynamic hubcaps.
The car also gets ‘Exclusive’ badging on the inside and outside. Volkswagen is offering two colours on this Tiguan – Pure White and Onyx White.
Other features on the Tiguan Exclusive Edition
The Tiguan also comes with a host of features that make driving and sitting inside as a passenger enjoyable. These include adaptive LED matrix headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with gesture control, illuminated sill plates, USB C ports, a soft touch dashboard, ambient lighting with 30 colours, a flat bottom multifunction steering wheel and more. The car also gets a triple-zone air conditioning system with touch control and a large panoramic sunroof.
Safety features on the Tiguan Exclusive Edition
The Tiguan comes with a reverse camera that offers four views. It will help in parking the vehicle. It also gets drive-assist technologies that make it that much more safer on the road. Other features include six airbags, an anti-brake locking system (ABS), ESC, anti-slip regulation (ASR), EDL, hill start assist, hill descent control, engine drag torque control, active TPMS, three head-rests at the rear, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX, and driver alert systems.
Powertrain of the Tiguan Exclusive Edition
Volkswagen has offered the tried and tested 2.0-litre TSI engine with the Tiguan. The engine develops 190 PS of peak power and a maximum torque of 320 Nm in this car. The claimed fuel economy is 12.65 km/l (ARAI testing).
