Volkswagen has finally revealed the 2024 Tiguan. The 3rd-generation model is scheduled to make its international debut in the coming months.
What’s new in the 3rd-gen Volkswagen Tiguan?
The new Tiguan is now 33 mm longer and 5 mm taller. This means the car now measures 4,551 mm long and 1,640 mm tall. The wheelbase has remained the same at 1,640 mm. The German carmaker has also made changes on the interiors. Thanks to this, the boot space has now gone up by 33 litres.
In terms of looks, the car is now more curvy than before. Despite the camouflage, we can make out the curved lines on the car.
In terms of features, the new Volkswagen Tiguan will get HD Matrix headlamps that can illuminate upto 500m of the road ahead. The SUV will also get a full-width light bar at the rear.
Additionally, the regular 5-seat Tiguan is going to be replaced by the new model. The Tiguan all-space is said to be replaced by an all-new car called as the Tayron.
3rd-gen Volkswagen Tiguan Interiors
The Tiguan is now more spacious on the inside. According to VW, the car now has more headroom and legroom for both rows of seats. Some variants will also get seat ventilation and massage function.
The Tiguan gets a large infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch driver information display. There will also be a head-up display for the driver, which replaces the outgoing car’s pop-up setup.
3rd-gen Volkswagen Tiguan : Powertrain
While there is no official word out yet, we can expect the carmaker to offer only petrol engines in India. However, in the international markets, the Tiguan is likely to get a choice of petrol, petrol hybrid and diesel engines. In terms of drivetrain configurations, there could be front wheel and all-wheel-drive setups available.
